Just Kids Ltd. is a family business run by father and daughter,
Peter Freeman and Kate Ferguson,  and is based in Sheffield, England.



Kate studied Textile Design at Huddersfield University, England and then,
for a few years, worked as a textile designer in studios in Manchester and
London. Peter was trained in Fine Art at Cardiff and Reading University,
England. For many years he taught art and design to students in both
schools and colleges.



In 2001, Kate and Peter decided to form their own textile design studio.
As they were working in the living room of their own house, the studio was
called the Design Lounge. The studio produced a wide range of designs
but, over the next few years, they became known for the high quality of
their children's designs. So, in 2005 Kate and Peter decided to specialise
in the children's market and the business was renamed Just Kids Ltd.



While the business has grown and their designs are more and more popular,
Kate and Peter continue to produce many of the designs themselves. They
are supported by a growing team of freelance artists who add to the variety
of work in the collection.
